Day Two
- Working from a clean desk
- Video – “making time”. Priorities, people and procedures at work
- Using creative thinking to help with effective time management
- Designing working systems
- Group dynamics and specific meeting skills
- Video – “The unorganized manager”
- Using technology as a tool of time management (including Key Results Areas)
- Handling stress in your workplace
- Definition of stress
- The nature of stress and it’s courses
Day Three
- Recognizing and coping with symptoms of stress
- Managing under stress – the management cycle; planning, organizing and controlling
- Avoiding stress by reducing crisis
- Anticipating problems and planning for contingencies
- Enforcement of rules, procedures and performance standards
- Monitoring performance: personal supervision, reporting systems and observation
- Taking corrective action and maintaining discipline
- Reducing stress through improved time management
- Prioritizing – categorizing tasks by urgency and importance.
