  • Responsible for the calculation and Selection ordering of the Pipeline UPS high output (1800 amp)batteries ($2.4million)
  • Senior Supervisor and Inspector of the entire Safe Removal and Installation, of the UPS battery systems – Discharge testing and safe killing of older batteries. Maintenance of St/By gen sets.
  • Calculations and the Recalibration of all of the relay stations (16) generation maintenance and 4 large pumping stations in Georgia.

Engineering Technical Trainer (Classroom & on Site).
  • Training at technician level NVQ3 Assessment required to comply with City & Guilds and Chevrons working safety standard ( 1 ) Safety ( 2 ) Work base knowledge ( 3 ) Compliment were set by Chevron and C &G standards. The Assessments were for ALL Elect, Mech & Inst technicians. Also included in this assessment programme were ALL section Supervisors. Any down-fall Training had to be given and passed.
  • Maintenance instruction on motors, pumps control panel maintenance
  • Training of new apprentices (NVQ 1 & 2) New from the training academy on theory and good maintenance/Practical.
  • On site OJT of plant equipment –Transformers, Pumps – Switch gear – 11kva Generators – UPS – Motors. Supervising of all electrical Maintenance or repairs carried out by contracting Engineers. Also some OJT training given and assessment of technicians.
2008 – 2010 Nigerian National Oil Company (contractor) – Nigeria (On /Offshore)
Senior Electrical Trainer & Safety coordinator.
  • Supervision of local maintenance technicians both offshore and in the workshops training given both in Practical application and Theory where and when needed (testing, calculations and formulas).
  • Supervision with OJT on site on switch boards 3.2KV and 11kVA Generators. 2.2 KV Sea Water Pumps. Maintenance of heli deck lighting and earthing.
  • Central air conditional units and stand alone types. Oil flash testing of all site main transformers. Replacement of new oil if test was failed.
  • Teaching of CompEX codes and hazardous areas.
  • Teaching different levels of maintenance Inspection V, C, & D.
  • Teaching how to write correct method statements and Risk Assessments for all the maintenance teams Total 180 (workshops Platforms & FPSO)

  • Working within the engineering training department at the Oil & Gas Training Site in Baku. Teaching site maintenance and testing with a small amount of theory on calculations of load sharing and sizing of cables.
  • OJT on Testing and Faultfinding. Instillation of 3 phase motors and switch-gear/controls and protection devices.
  • Teaching theory of hazardous areas and IP codes with practical work carried out on site. Assessments of each technician for BP Engineers for positional work placements.

  • Responsible for the CompEX training on site for all Electrical and Instruments personal. This included workshop testing rigs and practical with classroom lessons on theory.
  • Site visits to inspect any and all electrical work which was being installed either by local technicians or contractors.
  • Training of method statements and testing of motors and standby generators.
  • Teaching preparation for fault finding and repair.. (6 point technique)
  • Training on site of the V, C, & D inspection technique. For Plant equipment.
  • SENT by Shell to the Oman to teach staff there on CompEX. Theory & Practical
